IAITAM Training
Certification training from the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM) represent the most recognized industry certifications available. They appear regularly in job descriptions and project requirements for consulting opportunities. You can read about the available certificates on the IAITAM web site.
I am now qualified to present the Certified Software Asset Manager training and have been listed as an IAITAM Accredited Training Organization. I look forward to adding the
Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional and ITAM Foundations classes to my offerings in the near future.
The two-day CSAM course is designed for those individuals with minimal to no experience in the field of Software Asset Management. It is essential learning for beginning IT Asset Managers and other IT professionals involved in asset management, resource budgeting, finance, software licensing, contract management and strategic planning. Any company serious about a software asset management program should have at least one CSAM on staff; I find them many places where I go to provide Novell ZENworks consulting services. You can find a complete description of the CSAM course on the IAITAM site and there's a short video about the class below.
The CSAM training can be presented either in person at your location or online. The class consists of four sections of roughly three hours each, and may be presented over two days or four days to fit your schedule. Here is the course syllabus for the 2-day and four-day CSAM presentations.
